Week 3: Biology Superhero

The Sleeper is involved in many life-threatening situations. He is able to alleviate pain by making someone go into a deep sleep at any time of the day. He takes advantage of the reticular formation (the part of the brain that is associated with sleep and consciousness) and the endorphins (hormone that reduces pain). The Sleeper was born with these amazing superpowers, and he had a lot of fun using them during his childhood. He grew up in a normal town and went to a normal school. School was boring for him, so each day he would hack into one of his colleague's brain and make them fall asleep during class. The teachers would become furious and scream at the student for not paying attention, and this was very entertaining to The Sleeper. He also took advantage of his power to make his enemies fail tests by making them sleep until time was up. The Sleeper was never caught despite multiple efforts by the school to try to find out why their students were always dozing off during c...

Week 2- Memory Tests

Image
This week, I tested my brain's memory by taking three different memory tests.                                                                                                The first memory test measured the maximum amount of numbers that I could memorize within 10 seconds. I was able to correctly memorize 10 digits before failing, which was above the average of 7 digits. I think that this test is valid. One reason for this is because I did not see any numerical patterns or instances where there were repeated numbers adjacent to each other. If the tester could recognize numerical patterns or repetitions that show up by chance, then an unrealistic score could be attained. The second memory test that I did tested the ability to recognize detail...
