Week 6: Personality Tests

Image
This week, I took multiple personality tests, and the results are below. 1. Jung Typology Test This first test gave me 64 statements and assessed my agreeableness on each statement. While I was taking the test, I could tell how my answers would affect my personality results. I would say that this test is valid because the results are pretty close to what I perceive my personality as. The amount and variety of questions further allow for more accuracy on the results. 2. Big Five Personality Test Just like the Jung personality test, this test proposed a series of statements, and I had to agree or disagree to each statement. This test was longer and more tedious than the Jung personality test. However, the length of the test could mean that the test is more accurate because it covers a wider variety of personality aspects. The results from this test also did not deviate too far from my view of my personality. 3. Hogwarts House Test This test was in the same format as t...

Week 5: Senses and Stuff

The sense of taste makes eating interesting because we are able to experience a variety of both delicious foods and unpleasant foods. However, do all animals taste the same way as humans do? The article  https://toughlittlebirds.com/2014/11/25/does-food-taste-the-same-to-animals-as-it-does-to-us/ claims that all animals do indeed taste differently. Cats, for example, differ from humans in that they do not have the sweet receptor gene in their mouths, so they cannot taste sweet foods. This means a cat will think sugary water will taste exactly the same as regular tap water. Another interesting fact from this article is that carnivores generally have less taste buds than herbivores. This is because herbivores need a large amount of taste buds to distinguish differences between poisonous plants and healthy plants, but carnivores can eat almost any type of meat and not have a problem. Overall, I have learned a lot about different animals' tastes by reading this article, an...

Week 4: Life Story

Image
My life started in Los Angeles on May 7th 2002. I moved to Sugar Land after spending one year in Los Angeles, and I have lived here since. Both of my parents worked full time when I was younger, so I was sent to daycare every weekday when I was little. I don't have any siblings, but I was still able to spend time with people my age at daycare. When I was in 1st grade, I transitioned to Highlands ES. I later went to Quail Valley MS and now Dulles HS. I plan on graduating from Dulles in 2020 and going on to college to study something within the engineering field. I'd prefer to stay in Texas for college because I am familiar with the region. I will probably get married around 30 years of age and have at least two kids. I would be pretty open to any children names as long as they are appropriate and not awkward. When it's time for me to pursue a career, I hope to work somewhere that interests me and pays decently. I plan on staying at my dream job until I retire. When ...
